These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: “Do not go in the way of the Gentiles and do not enter any city of the Samaritans, but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. Matthew 10:5-8
Revolution > Revival
I am no longer praying for a revival; I am praying for a revolution.
A revolution brings in a new ruler.
True transformation comes when a new King is ushered in.
A King of a kingdom that is within us.
A paradoxical King who serves.
A King who adopts the orphan, heals the sick, raises the dead, cleanses the lepers, and flushes out demons.
A King who was born to die, to live for us and in us.
Once we allow Jesus to be Lord, we preach as we go.
It isn't a destination; it is a lifestyle.
No more reviving is needed.
We will be ushering in His kingdom wherever we go.
Our King is Love.
A revolution of love trumps a revival.
What does freely receiving and freely giving look like in your everyday life?
Is Jesus the King of your life?
Lord, You are our grace. You are our hope. You are our life. You are the King of our hearts. Bring Your revolution to our city through us! Amen
