Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me and the mothers with their children. But You have said, ‘I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.’” Genesis 32:11-12
Be Accurate In Your Prayers
Make sure the problem you are praying about is the problem you should be praying about. Mark
Jacob cried out to the Lord to protect him from Esau and his 400 men.
He feared Esau because he had deceived him.
But God revealed to Jacob that Jacob didn't have an Esau problem; Jacob had a Jacob problem.
I understand because I usually have a Mark problem.
How easily we fall into asking God to help our relationships when He wants to change us.
How do you know when your prayers are accurate?
How can we live in such a union with Him to know how to pray according to His heart?
Lord, thank you for reminding me that this life isn't about me but Your glory through me. Awaken me to see Your beauty in others. Amen
