Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty, hunger, abundance, and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:11-13
Embrace Your Season
We are constantly fighting our season.
At a young age, we learned to continue to look forward, thinking, "When I get to kindergarten, when I get to high school, when I get my driver's license, etc.", then I will be content.
We don't learn to live in our given season.
Don't wait for God to zap you to make you grateful and content; learn to be content.
Be in your season by knowing that God is the Lord of the season.
Reread the line: God is the Lord of the season, and we can learn to be content in each season.
Embrace Him, and then you will learn to be content each season.
In what ways are you waiting for your season to change to be content?
How does your paradigm need to change to walk in what Paul learned?
What difference would humility, faith, or strength make in helping you embrace your season?
Father, You are the Lord of our season. May we find our contentment in You to discover contentment within Your seasons. Thank you for teaching us and leading us to recognize Your cultivation in each season. Amen
