“For it is God Who works in you to will and to act to fulfill His good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
Eyes Upon Jesus
Do you lack confidence in your walk with Christ?
Do you feel and see yourself as less than others?
Do you think your gifts and contributions don’t “count” as much?
Remember, "It is God Who works in you to will and to act to fulfill His good purpose.”
Be encouraged that it is Him Who can do all things through you!
On the flip side…
Are you over-confident in your walk with Christ?
Do you feel and see yourself as more than others?
Do you think your gifts and contributions count as more?
Do you feel as though you have a lot to offer God?
Remember and be humbled to know, “It is God Who works in you to will and to act to fulfill His good purpose.”
For He is the one who opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
This verse encourages me when I feel “less than” and humbles me when I think I am “more than.”
Each condition always comes when I take my eyes off Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith.
How easy it is to look inside and outside before I look up!
Which condition do you find yourself in most often?
How do you recognize that you’re caught in either mindset?
Describe when God did something through you that you couldn’t have done.
Lord, thank You for Your grace, that is, the power working in us and through us for Your glory. Holy Spirit, thank you for convicting us to lead us to Your truth—the truth that you will and act to fulfill Your good purpose.
