“You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” II Timothy 2:1-2
From a Father's Eyes
The following is written from my experiences of discipling young people:
I believed in you when there was no apparent reason.
Why?
Because I could see by faith the future God desired for you.
Yes, I saw the flaws just like my own.
Yet, I also saw God's redemptive plans in your failures.
Deep in you, I could always see a tender heart grasping and gasping for love.
Whenever you would get a handful of false love like a mist, I could see God's loving hand reaching and holding you from behind.
If God never gave up on you, then how could I?
Faith is not blind.
Faith is seeing what is to be and hoping for the time of fulfillment.
I thank God for your life; through you, I have seen His unfailing love.
Who has God led you to disciple?
What have been the most significant lessons God has taught you when you have led others?
Lord, thank You for your marvelous design in discipling relationships. Continue to lead us to whom we are to walk with and share Your love. Amen
