As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment, heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with Him.” Matthew 3:16-17
“This is my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with Him.”
Loved And Well Pleased
At this point, Jesus had zero recorded public ministries.
No healings.
No exorcisms.
No teaching.
No preaching.
No water to wine conversions.
No miracles of any kind.
Yet, His Father loved Him and was well pleased.
"I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Jesus
Take some time today to sink into His presence and meditate on our Abba Father's love for you as He has loved His son, Jesus.
Not for anything you have or haven't done, but just...because He does.
Lord, it is evident in Your written word Your love for us. May You reveal the word You have written on our hearts so that it may live vibrantly in us and through us as You transform our worlds. Amen
