“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is always a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:3:5
Microscope Or Mirror
Do you find yourself constantly or consistently seeing others' faults?
Do you have a "gift" of knowing that other people's success is just luck or their ability to manipulate people and circumstances?
Do you need help rejoicing when others win?
Do you suffer from never seemingly getting the breaks that other people do?
Your issue may be your eyesight or the instrument you are trying to see others through.
Put down the microscope and pick up the mirror.
We are called to have the mind of Christ.
This is having a new way to look at others and ourselves.
We do not look at ourselves or others negatively, just through the eyes of Grace.
When we know we are His children, we see His loving reflection when we look into the mirror.
When we look at others, He allows us to see them as He does.
How have you found yourself comparing yourself to the success and failures of others?
Lord, renew our minds. Give us the graceful eyesight that You have. May we move from darkness to light as we gaze upon Your glory in our lives. Amen
