For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. II Corinthians 5:10
But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you, again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written, AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD." So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14:10-12
No Excuses
There will be a day as believers when we stand before Christ’s judgment seat.
Alone.
Something that will not be standing with us will be excuses.
Excuses like:
If I had been more outgoing, I could’ve...
If I had been more intelligent...
If I had been an enneagram #...
If you had given me the right spouse...
If you had put a better team around me...
If I had more financial resources...
If I hadn't been an orphan...
If my parents had done a better job...
If I hadn’t failed so big that time...
If that preacher hadn’t...
Fill in your “If”...
Please do not take any of this to a place of condemnation!
This is a smelling salts post.
It is designed to awaken us to one of the thought patterns the enemy will use to keep us from courageously glorifying God with this life He lives through us.
What excuses are you allowing to keep you from living the abundant life that glorifies Him?
Lord, You can do increasingly abundantly more than we can imagine or ask! So, increase our ask and expand our imagination to glorify You! Amen
