There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it—and I won't take it away from her!" Luke 10:42
One More Day Live It Now
I recently attended the funeral of a wonderful lady. During a time of sharing, her daughter commented, "I would give anything for one more day with her." Due to circumstances where the single-parent daughter needed her mom's help raising her son, they were very close. The statement was not regretful but a testament to how much she loved her mom.
Something struck me in the report, "I would give anything for one more day with her."
How many relationships do we have in which we take others for granted?
Spouses, children, parents, siblings, and best friends easily get left behind due to our choices and busyness.
It is time to take an inventory of the order of our lives.
Our priority is God, and from Him, He orders our lives.
He has taught us it is always relationships. To love one another as Jesus has loved us, and we can't do that when our lives are centered around ourselves.
Don't be left wishing you had just one more day....live that day now by loving as Jesus has loved us.
What attitudes keep you from being fully present with each person in your life?
What is the one next step that you can take to move from self-centered to Christ-centered?
Lord, You are love, and You are our life. Awaken us to Your love so we may enjoy this life by loving others. Amen
