So from now on, we regard no one from a human point of view [according to worldly standards and values]. Though we have known Christ from a human point of view, we no longer know Him in this way. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. II Corinthians 5:15-17
Our Higher Ground
This is possible.
I see you, holy.
I see you new.
I see you beautiful.
I see you as our Abba Father has made you.
Sure, we all have a past, but not in Christ.
We are entirely new creations.
Our common ground is in our human experiences and all that living in time contains.
Our uncommon and higher ground is that we are all being conformed to the image of Jesus and seated in heavenly places with Christ living already with eternity in us.
We are not who we were, unredeemed, but who He says we are, sons and daughters with no past, being restored into a great future that He is drawing us towards to glorify Himself through His love.
How would seeing others as God sees them affect how you treat and respond to them?
Lord, may we all be sobered to live moment by moment in Your reality, not our facade of reality. Amen
