“Ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can see His invisible qualities – Eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” Romans 1:20 NLT.
The Sunrise of His Love
“Trying to hide God’s love for us is like hiding a sunrise.” MBW
I’m an insane-to-most-anyone early riser.
Thus, I get to see many sunrises.
The thought, “Trying to hide God’s love for us is like trying to hide a sunrise,” came to me one morning as I viewed a magnificent, multi-colored sunrise framed by water and clouds.
God speaks to this in Romans 1:20. His eternal and divine nature reveals His invisible qualities through the creation, which reflects Him.
What is interesting is that you can’t hide a sunrise. You can, however, hide from it.
Some may sleep through the sunrise.
Some may turn away from it.
Others may even say that the clouds hide the sunrise, so it isn’t real.
Despite their perspective, the sunrise occurs every morning without fail.
It’s real.
And God, who made it, is real as well.
He is restoring us to reveal the glory of Himself, just as he does each morning through a sunrise.
When have you hidden from God’s love?
How do you respond to God’s glory in creation?
How might you see each sunrise as an opportunity regardless of your life circumstances?
When have you most sensed God’s presence in the morning?
I pray that today is when you surrender to God's love for you as revealed in His creation and His Son, Jesus. A majesty is revealed by a Creator who sacrifices all to restore us to His original desire and design. He does this so we may live in a whole relationship with Him. Amen
