That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2
Your Code is: GRACE
If I am flat, ain't got a dime broke, then I have no money to give you.
To give, you must have something in your possession to give.
Yes, this is a straightforward statement and easy to get.
It is much like zero plus zero or zero minus zero is still zero.
Yet, when we take this to the unseen currencies of life, we think this principle doesn't apply.
If I am called to love others, doesn't it stand to reason that I must first receive love before I can give love?
But the truth is, as God's children, we are loved.
We are His beloved sons and daughters.
His kingdom treasures are ours for accessing and using to love others.
Jesus even gave us the commandment to love one another, and inherent in the command is the ability (currency) to do it!
Our problem is our bankrupt mindset and heartset.
It is like we have our ATM card on an account with a billion dollars, but we keep entering the wrong password.
The love is there, but we cannot access it because we need to remember the code.
Here is our code: Grace
Grace is from Jesus and is the power to love with His love.
How have you tried to pay it forward using your account instead of His?
Lord, show us that Grace is more than a mealtime prayer, the name of our great aunt, or a flippant excuse card for mess-ups. Let us see Your power! May we see Your Grace that transforms relationships, families, communities, and nations! Amen
